Hazardous Waste Cleanup Operations

Workers engaged in the cleanup of hazardous waste sites require specific HAZWOPER training based on the level of exposure and responsibility. OSHA’s 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is generally required for workers performing cleanup operations, site investigations, and corrective actions involving hazardous substances.

  • Includes field personnel, technicians, and on-site supervisors
  • Must follow OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.120(e)
  • Annual 8-Hour refresher required
